Dear Colleagues, As the President of the ICS Turkish Section, it is my great honor and privilege to invite you all to the Turkish Section ICS Congress, which will be held on 18th and 19th October 2007 in Antalya. As you all know, since its foundation in 1935 International College of Surgeons has contributed a great deal to the progress of surgery and related medical sciences with its internationally respected surgeons from around the world. In this respect, ICS scientific meetings have always provided an opportunity for members to exchange professional knowledge, establish friendships, and create mutual respect and understanding in an International setting. 2007 ICS Turkish Section Congress will be a good start line for the Turkish Section, which was already established, to revive its achievements with its outstanding surgeons. This memorable Congress will certainly give the participants an opportunity to share up-to-date surgical advancements and techniques along with the expertise of the distinguished faculties of the world. Message from the President As World President, I cordially invite you to assist and participate within the XXV European Federation Congress and Congress of the Turkish Section of the International College of Surgeons, to be held in Antalya, Turkey, October 18-19, 2007. This Congress, commemorating the 63. anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Section, re-affirms the significance and position of Turkey within European Surgery. Professor Mehmet Haberal, President of both Congresses, is organizing a complete and balanced scientific program, ranging from current concepts to state-of-the-art issues in surgery. Participation will enable you to present and interchange personal and institutional surgical experiences, broaden knowledge on new solutions to complex surgical problems, as well as strengthen and meet new friends, among ICS Fellows from 26 European Sections.Antalya, site of the congress, is one of the most beautiful ports of the Mediterranean.
